Spring season is for players who are looking to play softball in a competitive environment. Our Spring season will run approximately 12 weeks beginning with practices in February and ending in May.
This season is for new and returning players who are looking to play softball in a competitive and fun environment. We will have teams for girls of all age divisions including T-Ball, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 16U (depending on available coaches and interested players). Prior to the start of the season, there are typically 2-3 practices/week. Once the season begins, expect 1-2 practices/week and also 2 games per week. A total of 4 team events per week.
All adults who work directly with players must register through the online system AND will fill out and submit a background check form on an annual basis through USA softball.
We here at RC ACE are excited about what has been taking place as we gear up for seasons to come! As a league run by volunteer support, we're looking for managers and team staff for the upcoming season. There’s so much we can do to make the league outstanding and a model of fun and sportsmanship for our community, but we need help!
Without adequate managers and team staff, we can only roster so many girls. Please consider applying as a manager or team staff member and help contribute to the success of your player(s) and their team.
Season - Practices will start the Monday following our draft day and games will start in February and will be played during weekdays and on Saturdays for all teams (T-Ball only plays Saturday).

Divisions 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 16U will attend required general assessments prior to the beginning of the season. All players MUST attend one of the assessment days offered (they don't have to attend both). Please make sure your player knows that the assessments are nothing to be nervous about. They simply allow our team managers the ability to draft their respective team(s) properly according to their rankings, and that the teams are created with fairly equal abilities.
Pitching Assessments (8U, 10U, 12U, 16U)
All players who would like to pitch during the Spring season MUST attend pitching assessments (except for players who have never pitched in a game or take lessons). This also includes players who have pitched at any point in any season, regardless of time or who have taken any kind of pitching lesson. This process enables our league to make educated decisions regarding their pitching staff during the draft process.

Catching Assessments (8U, 10U, 12U, 16U)
Catchers DO NOT have to assess to be able to catch, though we encourage it as catchers are one of the more integral positions on the field and need to be assessed properly. This process enables the managers to make educated decisions regarding their catching staff during the draft process.

A player can request to play up but the ability to play up to the next division is not guaranteed. In order to play up, the player must:
If a player is not chosen in the top 5 draft rounds in the play-up division, she will be placed in her age-appropriate division.

Refunds will be issued within 10-14 business days from request. Refunds requested prior to assessments will be refunded at 100%, prior to draft will be refunded at 75% and no refund after draft due to uniform ordering, no exceptions.

Please note, starting in our 2020 Spring season, there is no option for wait list when registering. Though there's no wait list when registering, this doesn't mean we will guarantee everyone to play. We are allowing everyone to register through the online system, though participants will be selected on a first come first serve basis dependent on the number of managers we have per division.
If we are short managers for a division, girls after the cutoff will be placed onto a wait list and parents will be contacted to consider taking a team to get girls off of the wait list. If managers and team staff are not found by the time assessments are here, those girls who are still on the wait list will be refunded in full.
